The Present is Female: A Reckoning: Long-Sharp Gallery at Treasure House Fair, London
Long-Sharp Gallery returns to the Royal Hospital Chelsea for the fourth edition of Treasure House Fair with its most ambitious London presentation to date - a two-part exhibition spanning modern masters and a focused curatorial statement on contemporary women artists.
The first presentation brings together blue-chip works by Andy Warhol, Joan Mitchell, Louise Bourgeois, Lee Krasner, Bridget Riley, and Anni Albers alongside paintings by David Spiller, sculpture by Tarik Currimbhoy and Patrick Hurst, and immersive light works by Chul Hyun Ahn.
The second presentation is The Present Is Female: A Reckoning, featuring contemporary women artists with ties to the UK: Moira Cameron, Julia Ibbini, Yulia Brodskaya, Nicola Anthony, and Fiona Grady, with works by Cecily Brown and Tacita Dean expanding the conversation into printmaking, film, and drawing.
For the first time, Fiona is exhibiting her new series of unique glass panels "Refractions" presented with custom made wall brackets. The hand cut and fused panels create coloured shadows - playfully interacting with light.
