River of Hope : Fiona Grady and Shona Watt

Fiona Grady was commissioned by the Thames Festival Trust to work with pupils at The Aldgate School, London to make collaborative artworks that explore the stories of the River Thames. The outcome of the project will be on display at the Millennium Bridge in September.  Alongside an vinyl artwork installed along the first floor corridor windows of The Aldgate School. The project is supported by 

The City of London Corporation's Fund Community Infrastructure Levy Neighbourhood Fund.

 

River of Hope is an arts-based learning project that uses environmental themes and creative arts practice to help young people express their concerns about the climate crisis. Under the guidance of artists Shona Watt and Fiona Grady and supported by river visits with Thames Explorer Trust and Cody Dock, pupils have created original artworks, inspired by their local rivers.
