Fiona Grady & Shona Watt - a new outdoor exhibition of artwork created by young people from five Newham Secondary Schools and a City of London Primary School, inspired by their reflections of the river.

Fiona Grady was commissioned by the Thames Festival Trust to work with pupils at The Aldgate School, London to make collaborative artworks that explore the stories of the River Thames. The outcome of the project will be on display at the Millennium Bridge in September. The project is supported by The City of London Corporation's Fund Community Infrastructure Levy Neighbourhood Fund.
River of Hope is an arts-based learning project that uses environmental themes and creative arts practice to help young people express their concerns about the climate crisis. Under the guidance of artists Shona Watt and Fiona Grady and supported by river visits with Thames Explorer Trust and Cody Dock, pupils have created original artworks, inspired by their local rivers. Local secondary schools have also worked alongside poet Dauda Ladejobi to create spoken word in response to the themes of the project. Participating schools: Royal Docks Academy Harris Science Academy East London Plashet School Langdon Academy Mulberry Academy London Dock & Aldgate Primary School. The outdoor exhibition showcases the projects creative outcomes set alongside the riverfront.
