Fractured Visions was a site-specific installation using digital projections and a series of related works on paper. Installed at St Mary's in the Castle an arts space on the Hastings sea front. The solo exhibition was directly inspired by the architecture of the crypt gallery, containing drawings created from observations of the crypt's structure, whilst also referencing the coastal setting to consider the motion and colours of the sea's waves.
The Fractured Visions projections displayed fractured blocks of light, that cut across the surface of the stone walls to emphasise the notion that the building is a vessel that dictates and fragments our vision. They emphasise the repetition of structure; highlighting the ambient surroundings.
The project was commissioned for Coastal Currents Art and Culture Festival.
